The pleasing Harra' Esbao'o with all of its garnishes! The name of this dish, which means "burned finger" is said to be invented by a peasant who smelled the food and could not wait for it to cool down, so he burned his fingers.
The dish is basically made of lentils and pasta cooked together and flavored with lemon juice, pomegranate molasses, and sometimes tamarind. The popular garnish of Harrak Esbau' usually consists of toasted bread, pomegranate seeds, crispy onions, and parsley or cilantro.
